After an attack on her home, Blaire is taken to the Palace and separated from her two young daughters. She is quickly thrown into a gown and placed on display for Serrica. Serrica airs live as a pass time one week of every month for the entire kingdom to see, and now halfway through the year and in the beginning of the Gladiator Round, Blaire is forced to join. Two women go in, and only one will return from the ever-changing arena. If only Blaire's story ended there, instead she learns of Serrica's secrets and deals with an undying crush of an overeager Prince while trying to manage the thought of never seeing her children again.
